If you have an idea for something that would help out the site, you can come here and tell it to me. Or, if you have a suggestion for something (maybe something I can change, or could rephrase), it can be posted here also. Yes (sigh), this is the place to report the uncommon spelling errors on boards. Boards, mind you, not posts. Don't come here just to say that you like something--that's comments and criticism.

Yay, a board where you can thank me or yell at me! I should have called it that...Here, you can talk about stuff on the site that you like, comment my great work (wink), or yell your head off at me for something stupid I did. Don't suggest changes for things here--that's ideas and suggestions, so go to the board for those--just tell me what you think. I like to know what the members' take on things is. Guests may comment/crit, too.

No New Posts Description

This is the most important place you need to visit (fwee! important-ness) before roleplaying. You will post a VERY detailed description of your wolf after deciding which territory they will live in. Please use the form I gave you or I won't look at it. And delete my (options in parenthesis) or your post will be six miles long...

No New Posts Adopt-a-Wolf

Classy name, eh? Here, you can literally adopt a wolf--take a premade description and roleplay this character. They will already have a territory created for them (mentioned in the description) but it's worth not having to type one out...right? You will have to create a separate account for the wol(f/ves) you adopt, but that's nothing new. Post a tryout for a wolf, and whoever I think is best suited may become their new roleplayer.

No New Posts StoneSayer's Cave

Entering through a variety of ways--a hole in the ground, an ice tunnel, a sand dune-- your wolf will be met by sparkling white stone walls...and ceiling...and floor. The wolf entering this place is privileged, for they are either the StoneSayer, a representative of their Web, or a messenger from their pack. Take care, for the StoneSayer's predictions may be cryptic and will need your understanding--or at least memory enough to repeat it to your pack.

No New Posts Evergreen Rainforest

This rainforest is made only for the tropical wolves. These small, thin-coated wolves can survive in the vast amounts of heat and humidity found here. This is one of the hardest tropical forests to survive in. While other wolves get to enjoy the Dry moons, these packs get none. It is rather dark, but all tropical lands are. Prey consists mostly of birds, bats, small mammals, and even the occasional snack on an insect. Mmm...

No New Posts Seasonal Rainforest

Only for tropical wolves. If other wolves come here, the humidity would seriously not be helpful. Trust me. There is one Dry moon, and everything else leaves this tropical territory practically drowning in the air. Prey is usually only the flying birds and bats, so be quick! Watch out for the leaches that are found all over--they love the Wet moons.

No New Posts Semievergreen Forest

This tropical habitat is much more...habitable than the others. A nice, long stretch of six Dry moons leaves most of the wolves here with rather thicker coats than the others might have--there isn't as much humidity to heat them up. Though still with a Wet moon period, it's not nearly as bad, and the prey consists more of many small mammals like voles and mice per meal. This is a very easy tropical habitat to survive in.

No New Posts Moist Deciduous Forest

This tropical forest is prone to rainfall, but it's much less humid than most of the tropical areas. The rain that is granted is the only wet season the wolves that live here see--the less rainfall there is, the less Wet moons there are. Much drier and easier to live in, with birds and small mammals serving as prey.

No New Posts Dry Deciduous Forest

Somehow, this tame territory is used by tropical-type wolves. There is hardly any rain, and the Dry moons are long and many. There might be one Wet moon...and, then again, there might not be. Lack of humidity graces these lands, and many wolves thank the Web for that--especially those who have lived in other tropical territories. Prey is usually small mammals--even rabbits have decided to live here, the largest prey in all the tropical regions.

No New Posts Moist Broad-Leaved Forest

This temperate forest can make a comfortable home for many packs. With Wet cold moons and Dry hot moons, prey is abundant, in the form of squirrels, rabbits, and even the occasional kit of an unwary mountain lion. Not much rain falls at once, but throughout a moon, there will be enough to keep water-pools full.

No New Posts Dry Conifer Forest

This temperate forest sees little or no rainfall throughout ten moons. The wolves here usually have small mammals and some tasty, edible plants to eat. There are many trees here, all of which producing pine cones. The wolves who make their home here will enjoy a comfortable territory--though, occasionally, they may need to eat plants for water.

No New Posts Mediterranean Forest

This temperate forest has some sort of warmth in the air that hardly differs throughout ten moons. Small mammals are abundant, and provide ample prey source, but there is always the occasional deer to balance out a meal. There is hardly any rain unless it is currently a cold moon. If it gets cold enough, which scarcely happens, there could be snow.

No New Posts Temperate Coniferous Forest

Found among the many trees of this forest are many types of prey--from the jawfull of a squirrel to the pack-filling deer. The cold moons here are milder than in other forests, and packs find it easy to adjust. Because of this, however, there is much rain, so the wolves who reside here gain pelts that repel water.

No New Posts Den-Place

Here the dens of the Glacier wolves are located. They consist mostly of hollows in the ice, used to block wind and, hopefully, keep warm. They are accessible by climbing down walls of ice about seven times as tall as a wolf. Crippled, older, pregnant, or nursing wolves live in the Upper Dens, which are easier to get to and to leave with low steps to the main Glacier area. Cubs also reside in the Upper Dens.

No New Posts Dripping Pools

The Dripping Pools are places where, during the Sunrise Times for the Glacier, the ice has melted to form pools of water. Since these are easier to get a drink from than licking the ice, all wolves are welcome here. During the Sunset Times, however, no one will able to come here, for the Pools have frozen over.

No New Posts Highest Ice Crag

The highest icy crag of the Glacier. This is a place for hunting and foraging for Pernettya berries (white berries that flourish during the cold moons). It does require quite a bit of climbing slippery slopes and using ledges to move upwards, but does have a flat path that spirals upward and occasionally breaks into a cave in the ice. These caves are commonly the home to Pernettya berries. If you're lucky, you'll find a rabbit, but remember that they are very rare in the Sunset Times.

No New Posts Lower Ice Crags

These icy crags are scattered around the Glacier, near the dens, the highest crag, and the base of the Glacier. There are seven total, though I'm not sure why that matters. They range from slippery and dangerous to mildly easy to climb. A long path, not hard to walk for Glacier wolves with their long legs, stretches from the highest crag's base and winds near and occasionally around these crags. They are definitely hunting and foraging grounds. Pernettya berries are all around...but where are the rabbits?

No New Posts Snowdrifts

Though you can hardly call them drifts, frozen solid as they are, these snowy areas of the Glacier prove a perfect place to just talk. Cubs love the snow, for, though it takes a lot of force, they can kick it up into the air and roll in it once they break the icy cover. Fortunately, there's no danger of suffocating by sinking too deep, because the snow is packed hard and solid after the length of an adult wolf's leg. Pernettya berries can be found here, and rabbits as well, though the latter are harder to see with their white coats against the snowy background.

No New Posts Den-Cave

This is where the wolves of the Cliff of Dawn will sleep, rest, or basically stay when they aren't hunting or training. This is sort of an easy-to-protect safe haven set on an outcrop of rock that looks difficult to reach unless a wolf manages to find the right path. It curves down from the side of a small stream close to the edge of the cliff, but the Dawn wolves can stay on it by pressing close to the edge. The cavern itself is large, and has hollows in the side filled with moss or something soft for sleeping.

No New Posts Calib

Calib is a small island, separated from Akhal by the Palthar Strait. It can hold as little as one pack with a large amount of territory or as many as three packs with small amounts of territory. Its setup is basically the same as Akhal, but the land on the Palthar strait is not sandy, but covered with trees. Some wolves whisper that they came from Akhal wolves, that Calib broke off from Akhal in a great rainstorm that filled in a long ditch in the land--the Palthar Strait, and that it was named such because of the pack, Palthar's pack, who lived in it. But those rumors can't be true...can they? Fortunately, other such stories circulating about nearby islands of Kosthin and Velthror say otherwise, for Calib has far more fish than Akhal, with a seemingly different current to drag them there. The Shrosthrin Sea proves Calib's greatest ally, with its ample supply of fish to support that.

No New Posts Akhal

The large island of Akhal could serve as home to as little as ten packs with large amounts of territory and as many as twenty-seven packs with small amounts of territory. It has plenty of ocean access and crosses into the island of Monther through the Isthmus. The Palthar Strait, good for fishing, separates it from the island of Calib. Akhal has many forests deep into the shores, but all along the shores on both the Qualmis Sea and Shrosthrin Sea, and its own Gulf of Akhal, have steep sandy banks an dunes as far as the eye can see. Hunting is good, for both fish, rabbits, and some larger game live here, but don't eat any plants unless you know what they are...

No New Posts The Isthmus

The Isthmus is home only to one pack, the exclusive Isthmus Wolves, who are built along completely different lines from the others. The Isthmus is long and skinny, reaching from Akhal to Monther, a bridge between two worlds. Isthmus wolves do not take kindly to trespassers in their territory, so travelers, be wary! The Isthmus is comprised almost completely of sand, with a small cluster of trees in the center where the pack's den-place is. Fishing is the main source of food for all Isthmus wolves, done by leaping onto large rocks and waiting for the fish to swim by. These seemingly innocent wolves are, however, hiding something...

No New Posts Monther

Monther is a well-forested island, with a small area of sand along its gigantic coastline. Monther can house as little as thirteen packs, each with a large amount of territory, or as many as thirty with small amounts of territory. It has some places where fishing is available (packs with coastline in their territory, or near the Cape of Lor, which dips into Monther on the Akhal side from the Gulf of Monther) and other places where large game such as deer or even elk make their living. Monther is rich in delicious plantlife as well, with fruits in abundance for the wolves of all packs to enjoy. It is connected, through the Isthmus, to Akhal, and though it isn't comparatively close to any of the other islands, Palrin, Qisten, and Teross could be considered nearby.

No New Posts Palrin

Palrin is a fair-sized island, able to serve as a home to as few as three packs with large amounts of territory and as many as fifteen packs with small amounts of territory. Palrin has a rather rolling landscape, with hills among the trees and clearings scattered there as well, though like many islands it has a sandy coastline. Both the Nontrosse Sea (near Monther) and the Yailken Sea (near Qisten) lap upon its banks. The only islands nearby are Monther and Qisten.

No New Posts Qisten

Qisten is a fair-sized island, able to support as few as seven packs with large amounts of territory and as many as eighteen packs with small amounts of territory. Qisten's landscape does not include many trees; rather, shelter from the elements might be found in a cave or dugout in the side of one of the island's many hills. The shores of Qisten do not have sand; rather, the water laps right up onto the grass. Qisten's shoreline consists mostly of water from the Yailken Sea, but the last waning tendrils of the Qualmis Sea stretch there as well. Nearby islands are Monther, Palrin, Garisthord, Kalmerol, the tip of Orthrussen, and Teross.

No New Posts Teross

Teross is a large island, able to hold as few as twelve packs with large amounts of territory and as many as twenty-nine with small amounts of territory. Teross is mostly sandy, with trees growing in clusters, some of which serve as protection for wolves, some as protection for their prey. With its incredibly large coastline, most packs live off of fish, and any that live completely inland off of prey like rabbits when found by an oasis. At least one source of water can be found in each pack. Sources of salt water on the coast are from both the Qualmis and Sortirre Seas. Nearby islands--and there are many--are Akhal, the Isthmus, Monther, Qisten, (parts of) Kalmerol, Orthrussen, Pagell, and Falintris. The area that is not near other islands dips into Teross, creating the Cape of Teross.

No New Posts Falintris

Falintris is a fair-sized island, able to hold as few as eight packs with large amounts of territory, and as many as twenty-two with small amounts of territory. The Cape of Derinne dips dip into Falintris's sunriseward point (from sunsetwards) and restricts its land mass. Falintris tends to be a bit warmer than the other islands, with a few areas dominated completely by sand, others by trees and rivers. Falintris gets a fair amount of fish from the Cape of Derinne, but little or none on its coastlines of the Sortirre, Shrosthrin, and Qualmis Seas. Nearby islands are Pagell, the Mosthier Cluster, Northir, Velthror, Calib, Akhal, and Teross.

No New Posts Velthror

Velthror is a relatively small island, able to hold as few as one pack with large amounts of territory and as many as three packs with small amounts of territory. Water on its frail-rise side dips deeply into the island, creating the Gulf of Velthror and giving Velthror the impression that it is much larger than it is. The territory here is much like a forest, though a thin line around the coast is sandy. Nearby islands are Kosthin, Calib, Falintris, Northir, and Nerrir. It borders on the edges of the Shrosthrin and Sortirre Seas.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts Kosthin

Kosthin is a small island, able to hold as few as one pack with a large amount of territory and as many as three packs with small amounts of territory. A dip in its frailwards side decreases the territory a bit and increases the coastline. Fishing is a major source of prey here. The only sea that laps its shores is the Shrosthrin Sea. Nearby islands are Akhal, Calib, Velthror, and Nerair.

No New Posts Nerair

Nerair is a relatively small island, able to hold as few as one pack with a large amount of territory and as many as three packs with small amounts of territory. Nerair is thickly forested, with no sign of its coastline until you plunge into the icy waters of the Shrosthrin Sea on any of its banks. Nerair is separated from Irlse by the narrow Rosthe Strait. Other nearby islands are Northir, Velthror, and Kosthin.

No New Posts Irlse

Irsle is a fair-sized island, able to hold as few as two packs with large amounts of territory and as many as five packs with small amounts of territory. Irlse's territory is covered with trees, and it's hard to tell where the water is until you walk in! It's separated from Nerair by the thin Rosthe Strait, and its only waters are from the Shrosthrin Sea. The only nearby island other than Nerair is Northir.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts Northir

Northir isn't large, nor is it small. It can hold as few as four packs with large amounts of territory or as many as seven packs with small amounts of territory. Northir's sunriseward half and Shrosthrin Sea coastline is dominated by trees, where you are unable to see the coast until it's right in front of your nose. Its sunsetwards half and Sortirre Sea coastline is sandy and bare of most water except for a few narrow streams. Nearby islands are Irsle, Nerair, Velthror, Falintris, and the Mosthier Cluster.

No New Posts The Mosthier Cluster

The Mosthier Cluster consists of seven very small islands that hold only one pack each. The islands are close enough that a strong swimmer can travel from one to the other. Each island's territory type is different, but they're all good places to live among your pack. The only sea whose waters dominate the islands' banks is the Sortirre Sea. Nearby islands are Northir, Falintris, and Pagell.

Pagell wolves like to consider themselves set apart from the rest of the wolves in the Shadalin Archipelago. Pagell can hold as few as nine packs with large amounts of territory and as many as twenty-five packs with small amounts of territory. Pagell is mostly forest-like away from the coast, but several lengths from the edge of the water sees rows of sand. Pagell's waters are from the Sortirre Sea. Nearby islands are the Mosthier Cluster and Orthrussen.

No New Posts Orthrussen

Orthrussen is a fair-sized island, able to hold as few as seven packs with large amounts of territory and as many as fifteen packs with small amounts of territory. Orthrussen is fairly round, but a long, narrow stip of land stretches over the top of Kalmerol. The territory is densely forested, except for a modest amount of sand along the coast. Orthrussen is separated from Kalmerol by the Itollith Strait, and its main food source is small game and salmon. The salmon come over the Itollith Falls and move up the strait--which is more like a river--every ten or so moons. Nearby islands are Tsara, Kalmerol, Pagell, Teross, and part of Qisten.

No New Posts Tsara

Tsara is a very small island, able to support only one pack on its limited territory. It is shaped like a crescent moon, with the inward dip on its frailwards side. Tsara is trapped between Orthrussen and Kalmerol, a sandy wasteland with salmon and water voles as the only food source. Tsara rests right before the steep Itollith Falls. The only nearby islands are Orthrussen and Kalmerol, who are always warring for possession of Tsara, so Tsara wolves remain faithful only to each other.

No New Posts Kalmerol

Kalmerol is a fair-sized island, able to hold as little as seven packs with large amounts of territory and as many as fifteen packs with small amounts of territory. Kalmerol is mostly sand, with clusters of trees scattered about and many different kinds of plants for the rabbits to eat. Other than rabbits, Kalmerol wolves can also eat salmon. Salmon come over the Itollith Falls every ten moons or so, and any wolves whose territory is on the Itollith Strait that separates Kalmerol from Orthrussen can have much salmon. Nearby islands are Tsara, Orthrussen, parts of Teross, Qisten, and Garisthord.

No New Posts Garisthord

Garisthord is a fairly large island, able to support as few as eight packs with large amounts of territory and as many as twelve packs with small amounts of territory. Garisthord is full-moon shaped, except for an inward dip on its strongrise side. That inward dip forms the Garisthord Bay. Its territory is mostly forests, with some sand along its Yailken Sea coast. Garisthord's food source comes mostly from small game like rabbits and whatever fish can be caught. Nearby islands are Kalmerol and Qisten.
