The large island of Akhal could serve as home to as little as ten packs with large amounts of territory and as many as twenty-seven packs with small amounts of territory. It has plenty of ocean access and crosses into the island of Monther through the Isthmus. The Palthar Strait, good for fishing, separates it from the island of Calib. Akhal has many forests deep into the shores, but all along the shores on both the Qualmis Sea and Shrosthrin Sea, and its own Gulf of Akhal, have steep sandy banks an dunes as far as the eye can see.
