These are the main dens, where most of the pack resides. For a detailed description, see the "Den-Place" board on the homepage. The ice-wall for getting up and out is sheer, so watch your footing. The dens of the Center wolves, instead of being in the center as in most packs, are under the part of wall leading to the Upper Dens. Other dens are scattered around the fair-sized hollow. Any prey--or plants--would be placed in the center of the hollow for all to see.

No New Posts Upper Dens

The Upper Dens are a haven for wolves that are crippled, elderly, pregnant, nursing cubs, or are cubs themselves. Basically a long tunnel going around the top of the hollow of the Lower Dens, the Upper Dens' opening (one on either end) is up higher and offers easier escape in a crisis, as well as an easier way to leave to hunt, forage, or take the cubs for a walk. Be careful not to fall over the high edge that leads to the Lower Dens--it could end rather nasty.

Board Description
Den-Place
Here the dens of the Glacier wolves are located. They consist mostly of hollows in the ice, used to block wind and, hopefully, keep warm. They are accessible by climbing down walls of ice about seven times as tall as a wolf. Crippled, older, pregnant, or nursing wolves live in the Upper Dens, which are easier to get to and to leave with low steps to the main Glacier area. Cubs also reside in the Upper Dens.
