So you want to have a Glacier wolf, eh? I will tell you a bit about them, but then you have to fill out my form EXACTLY to the WORD. Okay?
Glacier wolves live on the Glacier. Did you guess by their name? They have long, limber legs that are built for leaping and, in many cases, climbing the crags of the Glacier. Their muzzles are slender, make for foraging rather than hunting. The wolves' teeth reflect this. Since Glacier wolves are more likely to feast on Pernettya berries (white berries that flourish during the cold moons, which on the Glacier are all the time) than rabbits, which are rare, the teeth of Glacier wolves are rather blunt, though still strong and able to pierce flesh. Fighting is not common, though battle arts are still praticed, just not as often as other wolves might. Glacier wolves focus more on agility than strength, and endurance rather than fighting moves. Since a Glacier wolf may be away from the pack for several suns (measured by the rotation of the sun in the sky instead of its setting like in other packs, since it may not set for many moons), they will need to endure the harsh conditions. Their small appetites make this relatively easy.
Time on the Glacier passes differently. Since the Glacier is so far north, the sun may rise and never set for many moons yet. It does rotate in the sky, and a new sun (day) is declared when, from the den-place, it rests above the highest crag of the Glacier. Moons are normal; it rises and sets and has its phases just like anywhere else. However, the moon is at its brightest during the Sunset Times, when the sun sets and does not rise for many moons. The Glacier wolves can only tell time with the moon, and though it is colder than usual, they always prevail.
If you want to be a Glacier wolf, be prepared for a tough life!
Here, now, is my description form.
Body and Basics
Name: (Duh. The name of the wolf. However, there are things to look at here. If you joined as a cub of existing wolves, you may take a reputational name--like Jieva, Anorien, etc. If you are beginning anew, you will need to use a token name--something like Hailstorm, Brisk Wind, FLUFFYKINS {not really}. Glacier wolves typically have names that have to do with the Glacier if they have token names, like Blizzard or Chill {Chill is TAKEN by ME.})
Gender: (Male or Female?)
Den: (Which den does this wolf reside in? Crippled wolves, elders, cubs, and wolves nursing cubs live in the Upper Dens, while all others live in the Lower Dens.)
Fur Color: (The color and pattern of your wolf's fur. At the Glacier, you have a choice of white or...white. No, kidding...sorta. Wolves always have white fur here, but they can have gray markings. It can be ice-blue as well, which has the look of the Glacier. NO black or other normal colors.)
Fur Type: (Fur type--how it feels; what purpose it serves. Some Glacier wolves have thick fur--most do--but others have fur that is smooth and silky, and looks exactly like ice, even close up.)
Claws: (Blunt? Sharp? Long? Short? Translucent? That kind of thing. No black claws. Most Glacier wolves have sharp claws for gripping the ice. I recommend that--easier to climb.)
Eyes: (Now, this has different aspects. There's color--choice of any shade of blue for the Glacier, and there's--feeling. Are they kind? Angry? Sad? No emotion? Does the emotion shown in them change?)
Tail: (YES, I included tail. So bite me. Is it long and whiplike? Short, fluffy? Cut in half {I am kidding...}?)
Legs: (Glacier wolves' legs tend to be long and limber, agile, made for climbing. They don't have to be, but the majority of wolves' legs are. One or more could be crippled as well.)
Ears: (Large? Small? Sticking up straight as they should or a "bum ear" that hangs down like some dogs' ears? Are warm, protective furs clustered along the edges for protection, like most Glacier wolves' ears?)
Muzzle: (For those ignorant ones, this means the long nose-thing on wolves. Mostly, a Glacier wolf's muzzle is long and slender, for foraging. It doesn't need to be...but still.)
Teeth: (Normally blunt for chewing Pernettya berries, but some wolves choose to sharpen them on the ice.)
Senses and Abilities
Smell: (How good is their sense of smell? Glacier wolves' scenting ability tends to be amazingly fantastic because of the need to smell things far away {rabbits!} but of course, it doesn't have to be. They could just totally be ignorant of scents...)
Appetite: (Always small, though some wolves have a need for more food than others.)
Hearing: (How good can they hear? Are they deaf? Most Glacier wolves, like with scent, have fantastic hearing as well.)
Voice: (Are they loud? Quiet? Mute? Is their voice raspy or musical? Does it carry for long distances, or only heard within the immediate area? Is it low and droning, or high and squeaky?)
Howl: (Similar to 'voice.' Use your imagination .)
Hunting: (Glacier wolves aren't always good at this because of lack of prey. They're more likely to be bad hunters than good. No great hunters EVER for the Glacier without permission.)
Foraging: (Most Glacier wolves are really good, since their need for Pernettya berries is incredibly strong. They don't need to be, though. If their muzzle is short and blunt, please do not make them fantastic in this area.)
Protecting: (Are they good at guarding something, such as an entrance to the Stonesayer's cave, or their pack's den place? Are they bad at it and would prefer doing some other duty?)
Fighting: (Many Glacier wolves are not good here. That's FINE. If they are good, it would be agility or speed or something. Better stats for this are coming soon.)
Climbing: (Are they good at climbing ice? Only if there's a decent foothold? Are they not so good or average? Unable to climb and considered a cripple, forced to live in the Upper Den?)
Jumping: (Can they jump really high? Barely at all? Average length? Let's hope Glacier wolves can jump really good...they should.)
Cubs: (Are they good with cubs? A good mother or father? Overprotective? Too unconcerned? Do they just plain not like cubs? Do they love them? Want cubs of their own?)
Personality, Habits, and Actions
With Wolves in Higher Rank: (Are they extra-polite? Maybe they don't care! Do they obey orders quickly? Argue their point first? Are they friendly? Do they treat them like everyone else? Show porper respect according to customs {terra-speccy}?.)
With Wolves in Lower Ranks: (Do they treat them like dirt? Do they act friendly? Act normally? Give lots of orders? Act strict, but not TOO strict? Spend lots of time with them, and if so, when? Expect more formal ritual/custom response than they recieve? Anger quickly at signs of disrespect?)
With Kin (family members): (Do they go easy on them? Act extra nice? Treat them extra harsh? Treat them like everyone else? Still expect proper respect/give proper respect?)
With Loved Ones: (Do they refrain from giving them hard or dangerous tasks or putting them in danger? Spend lots of time them, and if so, when? Or how? Act normal only among other wolves? Sneak off with them ?)
With Unknown Wolves: (Attack immediately, no questions asked? Ask what they're doing? Treat them kindly? Let your Center wolf decide? Use proper rituals according to pack custom?)
With Friends: (Act normally? Spend lots of time with them, and if so, when? Want proper respect/give proper respect for rank?)
Overall: (Their basic personality when interacting with other wolves. Mostly kind? Unhappy? Angry? Fierce? Waaay too respectful and uneasy?)
In Free Time: (What do they do when they don't have a special task? Bask in the sun? Tell stories? Spend time with family? Dream like the lazy wolf-thing that they are? )
During Tasks: (Are they diligent, always completing their job quickly and efficiently? Do they slack off? Do a good enough job? Have others help them? Force others to help them? )
Eating: (All Glacier wolves share their prey with the pack since there is a major prey shortage at the Glacier. Even if it's only Pernettya berries, bring a branch back to the pack. They need it--especially the wolves in the Upper Dens.)
Sleeping: (Do they twitch in their sleep? Howl? Move? Share dreams with the Stonesayer {don't even think about it without permission}? Dream normally? Forget most dreams, except for important ones? Do they curl up with their family, or sleep with their friends?)
Habits: (Annoying or common little things they do. Maybe they twitch their paw when thinking, or scratch behind their ears when nervous.)
Other
Other: (Anything else about your wolf that didn't fit into the categories above. ANYTHING. But not inappropriate!)
Enjoy!! You may post the beginning of it. Just put UNFINISHED at the top of your post so I know not to yell at you for not completing it.
